The Role

The purpose of the Digital Content Manager is to create content for online promotions of our conferences and events, and to support the activities of the Digital Services team. This position is also responsible for improving the coverage of our events with the goal of generating inbound inquiries for our sales staff. The Digital Content Manager will work across all events, in conjunction with the event specific Marketing Managers. This is a developing role within the marketing team at WBR so the scope for growing it will depend a lot on your own set of skills and expertise.

You will be responsible for

  • Supporting the Marketing Director to grow and develop the content marketing strategy
  • Supporting the Digital content team through the provision of content and contribution to strategy and thinking in this area
  • Planning, devising and creating content suitable for events in consultation with Marketing Managers, including but not limited to; Q&A sessions, press releases, video interviews, surveys, reports, articles and other content pieces
  • Ensuring the effective distribution and promoting of the content across a variety of channels and networks as appropriate and agreed with the Marketing Managers
  • Analysing and monitoring the performance of the content via feedback loops with Marketing Managers, and compiling a monthly report on the results with analyses
  • Overseeing the workload of 1 x content marketing and social media intern

Skills / Characteristics

  • Self driven, results orientated
  • Clear understanding of content generation and marketing
  • The ability to work under pressure, organise and multi task
  • Excellent communication, verbal and written and persuasion skills both in team and autonomous environments
  • 1.5 years experience in the online and social media space
  • Journalism or Marketing degree
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Strong copywriting skills
  • Ability to work independently under tight deadlines
  • Detail oriented
  • Innovative in your approach always thinking ahead
