Marketing Manager


The Role

We are currently strengthening and expanding our Marketing team in to facilitate our planned growth for the coming year. This is an exciting role for someone that is passionate about digital marketing and events. You should have at least three years of marketing experience, ideally in events or
publishing, with a strong onus on digital marketing, social media and content.

The Organisation

WBR UK has almost 100 employees and a group annual turnover of £40m. With offices in London, New York, Toronto and Singapore we are a truly international organisation. We create, sell, market and run industry leading large-scale events in the Procurement, Logistics, Pharmaceutical, Retail and Finance sectors and provide market-leading intelligence through our research, reports and webinars.

You will be responsible for:

  • STRATEGY: Analysing performance and planning campaigns for our events including database build, email marketing and social media marketing.
  • EXECUTION & PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Executing and overseeing marketing campaign activity timelines.
  • DIGITAL: Managing email campaigns, automations, content promotion and LinkedIn posts to drive traffic and build awareness of our events and reports.
  • DESIGN: Being able to create email and social media banners and videos using Canva (or similar simple online tools).
  • COPY WRITING: Writing eye-catching copy for emails, social posts and websites.
  • RELATIONSHIP BUILDING AND NEGOTIATION: Establishing strategic partnerships with influential individuals or companies within the industry to deliver traffic and registrations.
  • INTER-DEPARTMENT RELATIONSHIPS: Working closely with other departments as part of the ‘event team’ to collaborate and manage expectations to deliver set registration targets.

Skills / Characteristics

You will have evidence of:

  • A consistent track record of personal over achievement and solution generation
  • A passion for digital marketing – especially email and social media marketing
  • Coherent direct marketing knowledge combined with detailed analytical ability
  • Results orientated with clear commercial understanding and awareness
  • Experience in an events or conference marketing role
  • Innovation in your marketing campaigns and strategies
  • Fast paced and the ability to work under pressure, organise and multitask
  • Excellent communication and persuasion skills both in team and autonomous environments

Salary

The basic salary for this role is £28,000-£32,000 per annum depending on experience. There is a profit share scheme in place which enables you to earn more based on the success of the events you work on.
