Worldwide Business Research (WBR) is a New York-based international conference company producing annual large-scale executive level business conferences, focused on the changing needs of the industries we serve. Through extensive research and the selection of top level-speakers, WBR is able to ensure that the information provided matches the informational need of senior level business leaders.

The WBR Marketing team is looking for an individual who wants to make a dramatic impact in our company’s content marketing activities.

The purpose of the Online Content Manager is to create additional content for online promotions of our conferences and events. This position is also responsible for improving the coverage of our events with the goal of generating inbound inquiries for our sales staff. The Online Content Marketing Manager will work across all events, in conjunction with the event specific Marketing Managers.

  • Strong copywriting skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism or Marketing
  • Self-driven and results-oriented with a positive outlook
  • 2 years experience in the online and social media space
  • Solid understanding of B2B best practices
  • Entrepreneurial spirit
  • Interest in improving the process
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills

Specific responsibilities:

  • Conducting interviews or Q&A sessions with 3-10 speakers on every event and creating content from those interviews via pod and webcasts
  • Distribution of speaker interviews and news articles to media outlets and event partners
  • Distribution of online press releases (1 per event)
  • Sourcing (or generating) a minimum of 3 additional downloads for each event (articles, podcasts, etc)
  • Creation of podcasts for each event (minimum 1 per event)
  • Creation and maintenance of event Linked In , Twitter and Facebook groups
  • Creation and maintenance of event related blogs
