Launched 4 years ago WBR Connect is a platform where C-suite business executives network and meet vendors through a series of 1-1 pre-qualified business meetings. We have events across 5 industry sectors – Retail, B2B, Travel, Field Service and Procurement.

 The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and driven professional to develop and research senior-level strategic business conferences. You will be responsible for creating and growing 4 highly profitable, Connect events each year.

You will be responsible for:

  • Conducting in-depth, telephone-based research and analysis of key industries
  • Identifying and examining industry trends and issues
  • Developing your own senior advisory network on each event
  • Identifying and recruiting industry leaders to the speaker faculty
  • Working with our sponsorship and marketing teams to drive revenue growth
  • Managing the execution of your events onsite

Skills / Characteristics

You will need to display:

You will be responsible for all phases of project management working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. Great organizational, communication, inter-personal, research, and writing skills are essential. In addition you have:

  • With 2-4 years of proven business experience, you possess excellent interviewing and research skills and the ability to meet tough deadlines
  • You have proven experience of identifying new business trends, writing compelling copy and communicating with senior business personnel
  • You have a strong academic background and are highly ambitious, team-oriented and commercially focused
  • You have excellent organizational skills and proven ability to manage multiple projects
