Divisional Director, Conference Production, Full Time Management

WBR is looking for a highly successful events professional with experience of managing Producers and launching and growing events to take on a full-time production management role.

A very competitive basic salary with 3% profit share on events + benefits

With production being at the heart of the business, in this role you will have direct ownership of your portfolio vision and will be the go to person for all departments.

In your first 3 months you can expect to receive formal and on the job training on producing an event at WBR which would entail producing 1 event.

After this you will move into a full time production management role, starting off with managing 1-2 experienced producers on 3-5 events, whilst validating new events to then be in a position to hire your 3rd and 4th producer.

The ideal candidate:

The ideal candidate for this role has experience of:

  • Sourcing, developing and retaining a Grade A production team – excelling at recruitment, continuous team evaluation and bench-building
  • Delivering significant revenue and net profit growth on their event portfolios
  • Building a strong new topic pipeline – constantly identifying new topic opportunities and constantly validating those topics
  • Building clear and compelling visions for their events – based on goals and numbers with compelling strategies on how to get there
  • Motivating and getting the best out of their individual producers and the overall event teams
  • Delivering an outstanding on-site “content” experience – planning the experience from the agenda-writing stage (and even earlier) and fully executing on-site
  • Delivering core event KPIs through effective inspection and management of their team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full P&L ownership for  large-scale conferences (each with 12-week production cycles)
  • Building budgets and growth plans for these events
  • Forward scheduling
  • Supporting and developing a team of Conference Producers and production assistant, including regular tape training
  • Proof-reading website and marketing copy
