Senior Conference Producer

If so, our Worldwide Business Research London office has an opening to join our dynamic production team on an established portfolio of events as a full-time Conference Producer/Senior Conference Producer/Conference Director role – depending on your experience.

You will be responsible for producing 3-4 market leading events from our well-known brands in the large scale conference and 1:1 meeting model live event formats. This includes researching, writing the agenda and recruiting speakers, leading a passionate event team to deliver on the event strategy – marketing, delegate sales, sponsorship, event management, and executing the event onsite/online.In terms of career progression, you will have the opportunity to work towards a production management (Divisional Director) or portfolio management (Portfolio Director) career path depending on your interests and skill-sets match. We offer a flexible working environment – with all employees working at our London Victoria office every Tuesday and Thursday and working from home every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting in-depth telephone/video/face-to-face research interviews to identify industry trends to support the development of a commercial agenda and event strategy
  • Writing compelling agenda and marketing collateral sales copy to drive delegate and sponsorship interest and bookings
  • Building your own senior advisory board network on each event to vet and improve your agenda
  • Recruiting senior influential industry leaders at top companies as speakers to attract high quality delegates and key sponsors
  • Coordinating between your sponsorship, marketing , delegate sales, and event management team members to deliver on key event goals
  • Developing and executing commercial growth plans to grow your event year-on-year

 

Characteristics & Skills:

This role could be a great fit for you if you have a strong academic background and have thrived in a commercial -sales, recruitment, or conference production role, and have strong:

  • Research skills- desktop and interviewing phone/video/face-to-face
  • Communication skills- spoken and written for internal and external contact
  • Sales copy skills- for writing the agenda and marketing collateral
  • Sales and relationship management skills – to research with new and existing contacts and confirming them as advisors and/or speakers
  • Organisational skills – manage multiple production projects and effectively prioritise key tasks to meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail- proof agenda and marketing collateral- including websites/brochures/emails
  • Team work and leadership – to coordinate between marketing, delegate sales, sponsorship and event management teams to deliver on key event goals
  • Solution focused ‘can-do’ attitude- to address key internal and external challenges and keep projects moving forward
