Content Manager Summary:

As a Content Manager, you’ll be overseeing a range of public-facing and internal assets that will be used to shape the editorial direction of 100+ annual conferences — as well as heightening awareness of the WBR brand. You’ll be responsible for creating, editing, posting, proofreading, updating, and “cleaning up” outdated content — in an effort to keep promotional information fresh, informative, and appealing.

Content Manager Key Functions:

  • Develop content strategies to boost views, clicks, downloads, shares and own the master tracker of KPIs for each conference
  • Write press releases, blog posts, and web copy as well as weigh in on email marketing, recruitment materials, and social campaigns
  • Conduct interviews with speakers and industry experts to leverage as content for physical and digital assets (i.e., podcast, webcast, blog)
  • Create editorial calendars, content schedules, agendas, key messages, and maintain reports on audience growth and demographics
  • Support our PR team in connecting with reporters, journalists, bloggers, and editors to get more eyeballs on our digital assets

You respect the data enough to shift, tweak, or rework your strategies to engage our B2B audience (i.e., buyers and sellers), and you appreciate the amount of consideration that goes into the success of each event. As well, you are a pro when it comes to utilizing social media (e.g., Google+, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.).

Content Manager Requirements:

  • 2 years experience in content marketing, creation, and/or strategy
  • 1 year experience with social advertising and management tools (e.g., Buffer)
  • Bachelors degree, preferably in journalism, english, or marketing
  • Basic understanding of graphic design and marketing automation software
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
